Urban transportation systems worldwide face mounting pressures from congestion, safety concerns, and environmental impacts. This lecture explores how cutting-edge advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are transforming urban mobility into safer, smarter, and more efficient ecosystems.
We will delve into the integration of AI-driven solutions—such as real-time traffic prediction, autonomous vehicle systems, and intelligent traffic management—with ICT frameworks like IoT-enabled infrastructure and 5G connectivity. These innovations collectively enhance decision-making, optimize traffic flow, and significantly reduce accidents through predictive analytics and adaptive control.
Additionally, the lecture will highlight case studies demonstrating the tangible benefits of these technologies, including reduced emissions, improved public transport efficiency, and enhanced pedestrian safety. By fostering a connected and data-informed urban environment, AI and ICT not only address current transportation challenges but also pave the way for sustainable, resilient cities of the future.

Jalel Ben-Othman (Senior Member, IEEE)于1998年在法国凡尔赛大学获得博士学位。现任巴黎-萨克雷大学正教授。其研究方向包括无线自组织与传感器网络、宽带无线网络、物联网，以及无线网络（尤其是无线传感器与自组织网络）的安全性问题。他的研究成果发表于多本备受推崇的国际期刊及会议上。
