On April 10th, Dean Shahrel Azmin Bin Sundi, Vice Deans Muhammad Nasiruddin Mahyuddin, Mohd Nazri Mahmud and Mohd Shahrimie Mohd Asaari of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), visited the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) for in-depth discussions and exchanges. Leaders of the HIT School and heads of relevant departments attended the meeting.

                      


During the meeting, the USM delegation introduced the university's discipline construction, research directions and international cooperation. Experts from the USM School have profound research accumulation and distinct characteristics in fields such as artificial intelligence and computer vision, biometric recognition, target detection and tracking, intelligent video surveillance, nonlinear control, robotics and mechatronics, communication technology, wireless communication systems, remote sensing and hyperspectral imaging.


HIT School of Electronic and Information Engineering) made a comprehensive introduction focusing on discipline layout, professional construction, talent training, scientific research innovation and international cooperation, demonstrating its advantages and achievements in the field of electronic information. The two sides had in-depth exchanges of views on issues such as discipline alignment, resource sharing, and teacher-student exchanges, focused on discussing the promotion ideas, implementation paths and operation mechanisms of the joint internship base, and reached important consensus on joint talent training, co-construction of practice platforms, and cooperation in scientific research projects.


After the meeting, the experts and teachers visited the electronic internship and practice base together. This visit further deepened the pragmatic cooperation between the two schools, laying a solid foundation for building an international talent training platform and expanding high-level international scientific research cooperation. In the future, the school will continue to promote international education, strengthen in-depth cooperation with high-level overseas universities, and continuously improve the quality of talent training and the international influence of disciplines.
